What can I make in Clever Soup?
Clever Soup can make smooth and chunky soups, oat and nut milk alternatives, plus cold blends such as sauces, dressings and chilled recipes. Smooth+ also gives you additional blending control.
How do I make soup in Clever Soup?
Add your prepared ingredients to the jug, secure the lid, select either the Smooth Soup or Chunky Soup programme and press start. Clever Soup cooks your ingredients for you, with the Smooth programme also blending them to create a smooth finished soup.
What programmes does Clever Soup have?
Clever Soup features Smooth Soup, Chunky Soup, Smooth+, Oat/Nut Milk and Auto Clean programmes, plus a Keep Warm function.
What's the difference between Smooth Soup and Chunky Soup?
Smooth Soup cooks and blends your ingredients for a smooth, velvety texture. Chunky Soup cooks your ingredients while retaining visible pieces for a heartier, more traditional homemade texture.
What is Smooth+?
Smooth+ is a pulse blending function that lets you blend for between 2 seconds and 1 minute. It's useful when you want to adjust the final texture of your recipe.
Can I make my chunky soup smoother?
Yes. If your finished soup is chunkier than you'd like, use Smooth+ to blend it further until you reach your preferred consistency.
Can I remove the lid while Clever Soup is cooking?
Yes. Clever Soup has a Memory function that pauses the programme when the lid is removed and continues from where it stopped once the lid is replaced.
Can I add ingredients partway through cooking?
Yes. The Memory function means you can remove the lid to add ingredients during the programme. This can be particularly useful for delicate herbs or ingredients such as pasta and noodles that you may want to add later in the cooking cycle.
Does Clever Soup keep my soup warm?
Yes. The Keep Warm function helps keep your finished soup warm until you're ready to serve it.
What is the minimum amount I can make?
Clever Soup has a 0.6L minimum fill level, allowing you to prepare smaller quantities when you don't need to make a full jug.
Can I use leftover vegetables in Clever Soup?
Yes. Clever Soup is a great way to turn suitable leftover vegetables into homemade soup, helping you make the most of ingredients you already have and reduce food waste.
Can I use frozen vegetables?
The Clever Soup show messaging supports the use of fresh, frozen and leftover vegetables in suitable recipes.
Can I make oat milk in Clever Soup?
Yes. Clever Soup has a dedicated Oat/Nut Milk programme for making fresh oat milk alternatives at home.
Can I make nut milk in Clever Soup?
Yes. The Oat/Nut Milk programme can be used to make nut milk alternatives using suitable soaked nuts and water.
Can Clever Soup make cold recipes?
Yes. Clever Soup is suitable for hot recipes and cold blending tasks. The approved messaging includes chilled recipes, sauces and dressings as examples of cold uses.
Does Clever Soup cook and blend in the same jug?
Yes. Its all-in-one design means ingredients can be cooked and blended in the same appliance, reducing the need for separate saucepans and blenders.
Does the outside of Clever Soup get hot?
Clever Soup has a double-wall jug designed to help keep the contents warmer while helping the outside stay cooler. Care should still be taken when using the appliance with hot contents.
How do I clean Clever Soup?
Clever Soup has an Auto Clean programme designed to help loosen residue left after cooking and blending. A cleaning brush is also included for areas that need additional attention.
Does Auto Clean mean I don't need to clean the jug myself?
No. Auto Clean helps loosen cooking and blending residue to make cleaning easier. You may still need to finish cleaning the jug using the included cleaning brush.
Can I control how much salt, sugar or other ingredients are in my soup?
Yes. Because you're making your recipes from your own ingredients, you decide what goes into them, including the amount of seasoning, vegetables and other ingredients you use.
Is Clever Soup only useful in winter?
No. As well as hot homemade soups, Clever Soup can perform cold blending tasks and make oat or nut milk alternatives, giving you plenty of ways to use it throughout the year.
